2) Solve the qualification round questions and submit your answers to us until April 17th, 2011 at 23.59.
You do not have to send solutions to all of the questions on the contest website to attend the competition, even though you will not be able to get any points for the questions you do not solve. However, prior to sending, you should carefully test each of your solutions which should be written in C, C++ or Java.
Your solutions will be run on a computer with a Linux operating system. When finalist groups (at least 10 – at most 12) are declared, according to the evaluation of their solutions, they will attend the final round in computer laboratories of Department of Computer Engineering of METU (in Ankara), on April 30th, 2011. Finalists, who are not from Ankara, will be accommodated in METU, free of any charge of course. Their transportation expenses (*) will be paid by METU Computer Club.
At the final round of the contest, finalists will try to solve questions that are similar to the ones in qualification round, but this time they will be racing against time. During the final round, teams are advised to do their best to utilize the advantages of both being a team and each member having his/her own computer. On the following day, May 1st, 2011, various renowned companies from software sector will give seminars, as a part of the contest organization in METU Culture and Convention Center. The award ceremony of the contest will be held the same day with the seminars. The first three groups will be awarded and many surprise prizes will be given to all of the finalists.
